A 21-year-old woman’s video has gone viral after she shared with social media users her decision to drop out of university to return to matric to improve her grades.

Although the young lady had been documenting her decision to go back to school for quite some time on TikTok, it was the actual journey and first day that received the most attention.

In the video, the TikToker – whose username is @lemonadefaramouw1 – is seen getting her uniform ironed and her hair ready for her first day back. Among other back-to-school duties, she also documents her travels to school with the people with whom she resides as well as the hearty meal she had during her lunch break.

Reaching over 260,000 views on TikTok, the young content creator received many congratulatory messages and similar stories in her comment section.

One TikToker wrote, “I wish I had done this when I was young. I passed with a B but failed Accounting dismally. So this is inspiring for young people. Good luck, girl.”

Another user of the app said, “You are really brave; it takes a strong person to do what you are doing. All the best and remain consistent in your efforts.”

While an educator shared, “As a teacher teaching at a similar school, I know you’re going to do so well to increase your points! Keep up the momentum.”
