Multi-award-winning musician, media personality and MC Unathi Nkayi is currently celebrating her son’s return from ulwaluko (a passage into manhood through initiation school).

The mother of two who recently expressed her love to other Xhosa initiate moms, reassuring them that things were okay, shared videos and pictures of her son’s celebration.

iKrwala (a man that just came back from the initiation school) u-Sinako, is Unathi and media personality Thomas Msengana’s son.

Sharing posts of this precious moment on her Instagram, the mother of two posted a few videos and also detailed one of her most loved songs that speaks of the gift that is a son.

The song details how she’s given Thomas a seed that will go on to extend his clan.

In beautiful celebratory videos, the MC, who was recently praised for hosting the late Zahara’s memorial service with poise and dignity, shared:

“Tata ka Snako (Snako’s dad) WE DID IT♥️ Ndiyabulela tata wabantwana bam (thank you, father of my kids). Ndizel’indoda namhlanje (today my son is a young man). I love our family.”

In another post, the fitness fanatic mom creatively mixed three of her songs (A Mothers Love Song, KwaNolali and the new single Ndiyazithanda Mna) in one sentence to give her caption a catchy feel, she wrote:

Ndiye ndamzalela isiduko sakhe so izolo beku gidwa kwa Nolali so lilonke NDIYAZITHANDA MNA (I gave him his clan carrier, so yesterday, there was a coming back from the initiation school celebration at Nolali’s place, I love myself)
