As we approach Christmas and New Year, many families will be coming together to spend time together and make new memories. Whilst many will be preparing family lunches and dinners, desserts will be part of the meals.

Desserts do not have to be complicated or time-consuming. You can make a delicious dessert with simple ingredients and little time. Here are some desserts you can try for those fun family get togethers suggested by Taste of Home– a website that features recipes and cooking tips:

Easy fruit crisp

This desert is made with fruits, oats and brown sugar and it takes only a few minutes to prepare. You mix the ingredients and bake until the fruit bubbling and topping is golden brown.

No-bake chocolate peanut butter pie

This dessert is a perfect one for a large family, it is made up with 4 ingredients- chocolate, peanut butter, sugar and milk.

Creamy rice pudding

This dessert is made with rice, milk, sugar and vanilla. When preparing it, you cook the rice until it is soft and mix it with the rest of the ingredients.

Apple cinnamon crumble

This dessert is made with chopped apples, sugar, oats and cinnamon. You mix the apples with the rest of the ingredients in a dish. Bake until the apples are tender, and the topping is crisp.

Cheesecake dip with fruit

The dessert is ideal for family dinners and parties as it is an interactive dessert. It is made with cream cheese, sugar and vanilla.
