South African rapper Mthembeni Ndevu, professionally known as Emtee, announced that his upcoming album DIY3 is ready.

Emtee released the first DIY album in 2015 and the second in 2018, making his supporters wait for quite a long time before announcing that he was working on the third album of the same name.

He last released an album named after his son (Logan) in 2021.

Taking to Instagram, the Johannesburg-based rapper wrote a post thanking his supporters for their patience, also sharing that it took him a while to finish the project after he announced it early this year. In his caption, he said that the project is now being mixed and mastered.

The 31-year-old father of two also added, “When you your own boss, there’s no deadline.”

Giving his supporters hope that in the following year he might give them more projects Emtee said, “Music is galore and I’ve never stopped recording, might f*ck around and drop 2 or more projects in 2024. HUSTLE.”
