A video of Miss Universe South Africa 2023 Bryoni Govender interacting with a few children in El Salvador touched the hearts of many social media users, with some feeling she is already deserving of the title, “Queen.”
Bryoni – an admitted attorney of the High Court – is currently in the Central American country of El Salvador forΒ the 72nd edition of the Miss Universe pageant.
Recently, the Instagram account @allthingsmisssa posted a heartwarming video montage of Bryoni and Salvadoran children who wanted to take a selfie with the South African beauty. Bryoni is later seen waving to the crowd from a balcony, which caught the attention of many Instagram users.
“Okay but the wave is perfection π,” said one user of the app.
“That wave ππ itβs [as if] she grew up with the royal family because itβs so natural,” commented another.
Another person admitted, “My world came to a standstill when she waved β€οΈ.”

The video tugged many people’s heartstrings:

While one Instagram user defined Bryoni as “a literal queen,” another shared, “Being a queen is not just about wearing a crown, but about the grace and kindness in her heart and that is exactly who @bryoni.govender is π.”
The Miss Universe pageant will air on SABC 3 at 03h00 on 19 November.
