Netizens react to Sizwe Dhlomo correcting Keri Hilson’s grammar

by Bongiwe Mati

Radio and television presenter Sizwe Dhlomo amused many X (formerly Twitter) users when he corrected American singer and songwriter Keri Hilson’s grammar on a post she recently shared.

Known for his active nature on X, and his correction of bad grammar, the farm owner also has a very good sense of humour.

The post shared by Keri read:

“Not coming to your rescue if you’ve never come for mine…”

Not coming to your rescue if you’ve never come for mine…

— Keri Hilson (@KeriHilson) November 8, 2023

The Kaya 959 radio presenter corrected the Knock You Down hitmaker, adding that she was meant to say, “to mine” instead of “for mine”, leaving the post at:

“Not coming to your rescue if you’ve never come to mine.”

*to mine*

— Sizwe Dhlomo (@SizweDhlomo) November 9, 2023

Finding the post hilarious, social media users shared in the joke with some commenting that Sizwe might be suffering from an anti-bad grammar condition.

??? Maybe there’s a name for this condition, it’s like bad English irritates you ??

— EyamaWelase Mazibuko (@GlorMazibuko) November 9, 2023

Sizwe responded by naming his condition, adding more humour calling it a Grammar Pedantry Syndrome.

More users responded using the singer’s Knock You Down lyrics, a song with features billionaire rapper Kanye West, they shared the song in humorous ways, adding:

Sometimes grammar comes around and then it knocks you down.

— Your Radio Uncle (@ThabisoMogane_) November 9, 2023

Ae mahn Sizwe, let grammar knock her down.
