Nadia Nakai gushes over Kairo’s performance

Nadia Nakai gushes over Kairo Forbes’s performance at the 947 Joburg event.

The 8-year-old sang her late father Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes’ song, she also later joined her mother DJ Zinhle on stage. DJ Zinhle performed her song titled Umlilo.

Nadia who was the girlfriend of AKA took to her Instagram where she gushed about Kairo’s performance saying: 

 “Love her so much! ? She did so amazing tonight!!! Her dad would’ve been so proud! Thank you to the @themegaband for tonight!!!! ❤️ @947joburg,” she wrote.

Many people flooded her comment section as they shared in the same sentiment with Nadia.

“AKA I hope you can see this?Nadia loved you man ?,” wrote social media user.

Another user added: “So special for you to still honor that bond with his daughter! And shout out to mom for not feeling some kinda way!!!”

In a separate post DJ Zinhle also took to her Instagram to prise her little girl saying:

“After bravely performing her dad’s song in front of thousands of people, my 8 year old broke down crying saying she just misses her daddy & wishes he was here. Actually, Kairo tries a lot to suppress her feelings and this is one of the few times I’ve seen her cry like that…This is happening while
@thando_thabethe is announcing me for my performance. @nadianakai is so brave, she took over as I walked onto the stage crying & heart broken..”

“Halfway into my first song, @kairo.forbes was standing next me – check the last slide. You can see that she literally wiped her tears and stood bravely next to me. I am so proud of her but I wish she didn’t need to be so brave. I just wish she still had her dad,” she wrote.
