The Mommy Club reality TV star Mpumi ‘Mrs Mops’ Mophatlane received a lot of public scrutiny yesterday after the new episode of the reality TV show aired.

The Showmax reality TV show follows five affluent Jozi moms enjoying life with their kids and nannies. When the show was introduced, the public was excited to see that the former The Real Housewives of Johannesburg star was part of the cast, stating they were anticipating a lot of enjoyable content and fun.

After the new episode aired, Mrs Mops had some viewers feeling that she wasn’t bringing any exciting content to the show, with some adding that she and cast member Ms Manche’s friendship needed to be reviewed.

Upon seeing negative posts about Mrs Mops, social media user @Lindo_♡♡Furunek commented:

“Me seeing all these negative comments about Mrs Mops ??and I like her. Anyways, I think all those friendships ain’t genuine and they are so forced I don’t know why maybe for the show akho chommi zinjeyana tuu (there are no friends like that at all). #MommyClubShowmax.”

#TheMommyClub should be more about them interacting with their kids and more family content not them meeting for brunches and dinners arguing about irrelevant things! I don’t like Mrs Mops but I enjoy seeing her with her kids.

Mrs Mops is the reason some of us rushed to watch #TheMommyClub but she is giving dololo content and on top of that she is being shady… On other news I love me some Nunurai, she is the reason I am watching the show now… Otherwise yona ya bhoranyana shame
