Actress Sonia Mbele recently shared some of the reasons why her marriage failed.

Although the popular Blood & Water actress previously opened up about her divorce to ex, Leslie Sedibe, on 25 July, during her interview on Dineo On S*X n Suff, she decided to further expand upon her failed marriage.

Sonia shared her experience of being married to her ex husband.

“While I was there and waking up to the drawn of who are you, who did I marry, and living with that person every day and realising this is a MFer,” she said

According to the South African, Sonia claims that she hoped and prayed that everyone would see the kind of person she was married to, especially her children. She remained silent in the hopes that her kids would recognise Leslie for the person she knew him to be.

Sonia expressed that she wished for people to be able to recognise the red signals in advance. She agreed with Dineo when she emphasised that the purpose of the interview was to just exchange experiences and not to criticise anyone in particular.

“There was a time when we did not speak for years, and I am comfortable talking about this now. But there was a time when I wasn’t,” she said. The seasoned actress said she is willing to talk now because her children are all grown up and old enough to assess and decide for themselves. “What I am saying now will no longer be a shocker to them,” she said.

Sonia told the story of how her ex-husband duped her into signing a paper giving him complete control over their house. She added that she discovered he had seen her on television before meeting her and had made a bet with his pals that he would get with her.
