South African rapper Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo better known as Nasty C performed at Mzansi Raps at Spotify Greasy Tunes as the main act.
Last week, Spotify Greasy Tunes incorporated Mzansi Raps with RADAR Africa singer Tyla’s special first-look showing of her RADAR Africa documentary on Tuesday night into its week three program. Additionally, Tyla performed her upcoming tune Water.
The Sobering Podcast’s live recording on Wednesday included well-known South African hip-hop musician Siya Metane, while Nasty C, the headlining act at Mzansi Raps, sang some of his well-known songs, including Hell Naw. The music was provided by a variety of artists, including Okmalumkoolkat, DJ Akio, MashBeatz, Dee Koala, 25k, Buzzilee, and DJ Kaymoworld.
“South Africa’s music scene is uniquely vibrant on the continent with different artists like Tyla and Nasty C dominating the global scene with their homegrown sounds. On July 30, Spotify Greasy Tunes’ fourth and final week of its “The Festival”-themed program comes to an end. Afrobeats: Journey to a Billion Streams, the brand-new Spotify Afrobeats website, will also be discussed during the African Music Masterclass that is one of the week’s activities.
According to Stuff the managing director for Spotify in Sub-Saharan Africa, Jocelyne Muhutu-Remy, said the following during the campaign’s debut this past Saturday:
