Vuyo Mbuli’s son has taken over Europe.

The singer-songwriter son of the late television personality wowed fans at the North Sea Jazz Festival, in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The North Sea Jazz Festival is an annual festival held each second week of July in the Netherlands.

This past Saturday at the festival, the young South African singer-songwriter made his international debut. On Saturday night at the Mississippi Terrace, Sthenkosi Mbuli, also known as Rudy Chalmers, joined the live international band The Nest during their performance. The international audience gave him high praise for his guitar work and singing, and he delivered a sneak peek of his future project, which is set to release in August.

According to ZiMoja, the talented musician told the publication that this was the highlight of his career, a milestone he will never forget.”It feels so unreal, I have never thought in my wildest dreams that I would ever be performing at an international festival so early in my music career,” he said.

Rudy Chalmers sparkled alongside The Nest and seamlessly integrated into the music-loving jazz festival, performing on stages over the course of the previous weekend with major musicians including Stormy, Seal, Gregory Porter, Loyle Carner, and Olivia Dean.

Rudy says that this opportunity has given him the courage and inspired him to do better. He is now ready to take the world head-on.”I will utilise this opportunity to do better, during my time in Europe I will make sure that I connect with the right and relevant people,” he further adds.
