There is no denying the wholesome relationship Nadia Nakai and her late boyfriend’s daughter, Kairo Forbes, share.
According to The South African, Nadia Nakai spoke to L-Tido on his YouTube podcast and told him that Kairo’s mother, DJ Zihle, planned her first meet-up with child star Kairo.
While most mothers would not want their children to meet their ex’s current partners, it’s amazing to see how DJ Zihle played such an important role in ensuring that Nadia and Kairo have a relationship.
Nadia further told L-Tido that she only met DJ Zihle twice before being asked when she’ll be available to babysit the darling child star.
“We were at this Fashion Week launch and it was the second time I’d seen Zee since I started dating Kiernan. She was like, ‘When do you start babysitting? You need to start babysitting Kairo.’ Inside I was just like, ‘Okay, she seems fine with it so I told Kiernan and I met Kairo two days after that,” Nadia said.
Kairo is the daughter of AKA and DJ Zihle. Nadia started dating AKA in late 2021 until his untimely death in February 2023.
Despite AKA’s passing, Nadia and Kairo still share a beautiful bond. On her 33rd birthday, Kairo wished Nadia on Instagram with a cute message.

“It’s so special. I’m just grateful I still get to have a relationship with Kairo. I’m grateful she wasn’t completely removed out of my life. I know maybe in the future she’s probably gonna start calling me aunty,” Nadia said.
