Connie Chiume reflects on her Gomora exits

by Johana Mukandila

Veteran actress Connie Chiume bids farewell to the drama series, Gomora.

Several cast members left when it was revealed that the TV drama series has come to an end.

The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever actress is the latest cast member to leave and it was an emotional exit for her as seen in the video clips shared by the director of the film Thabang Moleya where the cast and crew were saying goodbye to the actress.

While speaking to TshisaLIVE on her exit the actress said the following to the publication:

“I’m going to miss the people that I have been working with. Four years is such a long time. You get to bond, to know and understand one another — that’s the first thing I’m going to miss. Another would be the team that we were working with, from actors to the crew,” said Connie.

“We were working with very professional people who made sure that the stories that were written appear as is. That’s why Gomora, even after four years as it is ending, it is still on the number one spot. So I’m going to miss that creativity and professionalism among my colleagues and just being able to work together, you know, those interpersonal relationships,” she added while speaking to the publication mentioned above.

Last day of shooting wit Ma’Connie Chiume on Gomora today. Curtains slowing closing on your No.1 daily show. Thank you Ma for leading wit love and light. It’s truly been an honour. What a gentle send off. Lump in my throat. ?#Gomora #gomoramzansi pic.twitter.com/1WttZlpK6X
