The late South African DJ Sumbody’s girlfriend has responded to claims that she has been evicted from the DJ’s home which they shared together.

The DJ whose real name is Oupa John Sefoka was shot and killed last year with one of his bodyguards in Woodmead, Johannesburg, while on their way to a gig.

DJ Sumbody and his girlfriend who goes by the name of Tlotlisang Moloi reportedly dated for 13 years and lived in their home at Copperleaf Golf Estate, Centurion for six years.

According to ZiMoja, a source revealed to the publication that Tlotlisang was kicked out of her home which she shared with the late DJ by the family of DJ Sumbody.

“The family gave her time to grieve. But feel she can no longer live at the house,” said the source who told the publication.

“They have been together for a long time, but they were not married and she understands this. They didn’t ask her to leave immediately or return any of the things he had bought her but she can’t continue to live at that house,” the source added.

Reacting to the report, Tlotlisang said in an Instagram live that she’s not suffering as she owns a house and car. She also refuted claims that she was in need by declaring, “I’d never struggle. My parents are employed, and I live in a comfortable home,”  she stated.

She also revealed that her late lover took good care of her.

“I am well taken care of. I am not struggling,” she says.

“Even at home, we are okay, my parents still work, and they can take care of me. I am so blessed to have been given a car and a house,” she said.

Tlotlisang added that her late partner cared for her. “Some of you, your boyfriends don’t even buy you anything, they even take wigs they bought you after the relationship comes to an end. I have a house and a car.”
