DJ Bongani Mohosana, known professionally as Mörda or Murdah Bongz, seemingly shed a tear or two while performing his set. The song being played was Rainbow by Black Motion, leaving many to think that he missed his former music group.

The video of the DJ getting emotional and wiping away his tears was posted by the popular Twitter account @AdvoBarryRoux. The video was captioned, “Why was Murdah Bongz emotional during his set?”

Many tweeps theorised that the DJ was missing Black Motion. One user said, “It’s probably because he misses the good old days when this song was huge. They come so far and hope they will reconnect and work together again.”

“I know the song meant everything to them Xoli Thabo Bongz so considering how everything went down it’s sad,” wrote another tweep.

Responding to the video, Mörda took to his Instagram stories to provide a reason for the tears shed. He must have seen what people were assuming as he wrote, “Tears of joy and freedom” along with a sticker of a winking face.

Black Motion founding members Mörda and Thabo ‘Smol’ Mabogwane went their separate ways after Black Motion released a copy of a court verdict in January early this year, stating that Mörda had to replace the studio equipment belonging to the music group. The post also showed evidence of a broken door and a vandalised studio.

The caption of the post read, “Always enter like a kitten and leave like a lion. But NEVER enter like a lion and leave like a kitten. Always be humble.”
