“I’m trying my best to NOT commit suicide” – Dineo Ranaka confesses

Radio personality and DJ Dineo Ranaka has always been open about her mental health struggles. The DJ has now shared with social media users that she is trying not to commit suicide.

In a recent post, Dineo wrote, “I COMPLETELY understand souls/spirits/people that commit suicide. I get it. I get them.”

In a second post, she wrote, “Because I’m trying my best to NOT commit suicide. My mind is sooooooo loud of late and life is f***ing HARD, so f***ing hard and I’m trying my best but it seems my best is not enough.”

Many celebrities flooded her comments section with love and support. Singer Kelly Khumalo said, “Nala uzodlula! ❤️ it’s all working for your highest good.”

Media personality Boity Thulo wrote, “You are loved. Wholeheartedly. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ You still have so much living to do in the best way possible. Hang in there and seek professional help, mama. This too shall pass. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

“The struggle is real mama; just keep fighting day by day ♥️,” wrote actress and presenter Minnie Dlamini.

DJ Sbu wrote, “Keep the strength, you’re in my prayers Dineo my sister. Your children Mama.”

Dineo’s third post read, “My children God. Abantwana bami.”

In late March, Dineo shared in short three-part videos her struggles with anxiety and stress. In one of the videos, she shared, “I’ve been in a state of stress and anxiety, just trying to figure out how I’m going to renavigate myself from the psychological trauma of COVID, and also from the emotional, psychological and spiritual traumas, I suppose, from personal experiences.”
