The multi-talented singer, actress and dancer is back with new music. She released her first single, Young Love, from her much-awaited upcoming album, set to be released later this year.

According to ZiMoja, the song was recorded in Stockholm, Sweden at The Kennel. Young Love is the first single she released since 2021’s Find a Way following a two-year sabbatical. The singer has worked with Nkuleleko Sitholeto bring her signature Afro-House sound to her fans.

The singer revealed that she had travelled parts of Europe, working with different songwriting teams for new material. True to her ethos of wanting to help artists from rural areas, KB trains them, equipping them with the skills needed to get involved in the local entertainment industry. She also revealed to ZiMoja that she is currently studying Business Administration in order to further extend her help to rural artists.

A strong proponent for good things takes time, the artist is no rush to release new music. KB states that having her own record label has changed things for her, as it is completely different to working with a major label.  She says, “You have to manage both the back office as well as being an artist the same time while adapting with the new trends and dynamics that are part of the music as well as the entertainment industry.”

KB claims that her music is all about remaining true to herself. She is aware of changing music trends and refuses to conform to them. She says that when it comes to good music, “a good song is a good song”, regardless. She further states, “I am different. I have like, many people experienced some of what life had to show us in the past few years. Not many of us have remained the same. Therefore, my approach to a song, a message or an idea comes from a different place. Maturity I guess is what it’s called.”
