Moja Love’s Sizok’thola presenter Xolani Khumalo is said to be under threat for his show’s attempt to clean the streets of drugs.

Sizok’thola, one of the most watched shows on chanel 157  sees Bongani go head to head with drug dealers, going into their homes and places where they operate in order to get the drugs and destroy them.

According to Sunday World, Xolani and the channel’s CEO Aubrey Tau have had to beef up their security following a number of death threats received on their cellphones from people they do not know. The two are threatened to be killed if they do not cancel the show.

The publication has also shared confirmation of the threats as Moja Love’s channel head Bokani Moyo seemed to be aware of them.

Bokani was quoted saying, “We were aware of the risk we were taking when we agreed to broadcast the show. We are obligated to highlight issues that affect society, as drugs and crime are negatively impacting our communities.”

“We are aware that our CEO Mr Aubrey Tau and Sizok’thola presenter Mr Xolani Khumalo have received death threats over the work the show is doing.”

Bokani also added, “We are doing everything in our power to ensure the safety of our personnel. No amount of intimidation will stop us from doing our job.”

Bongani is said to be handling this matter with ease, not allowing the threats to deter him on his mission to save our country.

He was quoted saying; “I am not going to be intimidated and stopped from doing my job. It is our responsibility as South Africans to make sure that we root out all criminal elements in our society.

“As Sizok’thola team, we are still going to expose more wrongdoers. We need to rid our country of drugs and crime.”

At this stage it is not clear whether the channel has involved the police or not.
