While many South Africans have focussed their attention on the shocking details relating to the Thabo Bester escape, media personality Anele Mdoda has decided to find humour in the rather serious situation.

The radio personality took a jab at Bester’s girlfriend Dr Nandipha Magudumana’s perp walk outfit, which she wore when she made her first court appearance on Thursday.

Bester and Magudumana were arrested in Tanzania last week Friday.

Magudumana rocked white sweatpants, paired with a green sweater when she walked with the authorities and appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court.

Anele said her outfit was a clear sign she wasn’t counting on being arrested.

“Nandipha was not planning on getting arrested. No one wears white pants if they know sh@t is about to hit the fan,” read the tweet she shared on her Instagram.

“The only insight I have on this ongoing debacle,” she continued.

Anele’s fans and celebrity colleagues such as Boity Thulo and Tb Touch thought her observation was rather funny and commented with laughing emojis.

Others gave their views on the case while one thought Magudumana should have known those were her unlucky pants.

MasekoBuhlebamancamane said: “Things are about to get orange for yena, let her enjoy white.”

While Hlotis1 said: “She should have known that that’s her unlucky pants. It’s the same one she was wearing when they were caught on camera at Woolworths. We can’t teach her everything.”

Magudumana appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Thursday afternoon on charges of aiding and abetting an escape from prison, murder, violation of bodies and fraud.

She will appear in court again on Monday along with other co-accused in Bester’s prison escape.
