Gomora comes to an end after four seasons

Popular television drama Gomora is soon coming to end. 

The much beloved soapie is set to end in October where it will air it’s final episodes. 

Shirley Adonisi, director of local entertainment channels at M-Net told Sowetan Live the following regarding the show ending:

 “We are committed to bringing the best content to our viewers and, as such, we have to be responsive to their changing needs and preferences,” said Shirley Adonisi, director of local entertainment channels at M-Net.

“This means that we have to bid farewell to beloved shows like Gomora, but we are excited to bring you new, fresh and exciting content.

“It’s been an incredible three years since Gomora first aired on Mzansi Magic. The show has captivated audiences across the country and we are proud to be part of its legacy. We thank the cast and crew of Gomora for their incredible work and dedication.”

The television station also took to their Instagram timeline to confirm the news saying: 

“Mzansi Magic bids farewell to #Gomora comes to end after 4 seasons. Mzansi’s beloved telenovela will end with its fourth and final season, starting on the 24th of April where viewers can expect intense action and an emotional rollercoaster.”

Many of show’s fans were sadden by the news.

“Yohh! The Queen gone and Gomora soon , Mzansi magic won’t be interesting anymore.” wrote a fan.

Another fan said: “Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, The Queen, Isibaya, The River now Gomora.”
