If you enjoy creating new family traditions, you’ll enjoy reading about the Easter traditions we’re sharing today. I’m sure you’ll discover something new to share with your family this Easter, whether it’s a religious holiday or just a day for the Easter Bunny.

1. Have a special Easter egg hunt

Easter egg hunts are probably something you already do each year, but why not make it even more special. Depending on what works for your family, use plastic eggs that you can conceal a valuable item in.

-Have slips of paper with parts of the Easter story written on them. The kids have to find all of them to complete the story then they get to have a special Easter treat.

-Insert small amounts of money inside the eggs and have one egg with a significant amount in it.

2. Watch the same movie every Easter

Watching a Jesus or Easter themed movie is always a good idea to get you and your family in the spirit.

3. Bake Easter goodies together

Get out the aprons and mixing bowls. Easter offers opportunities for fun in the kitchen.

Serve a rabbit cupcake cake or bake a lovely bunny cake. Use a sugar cookie recipe instead if you want to keep things simple. Make Easter bunny cookies by using a cookie cutter shaped like a bunny, vanilla biscuit icing, and coconut on top. The youngsters will dash into the kitchen to see what other Easter-related treats you can prepare.

4. Make Easter baskets together

Easter baskets have been around for a very long time. So how can something that has been given year after year be used to start a new Easter tradition? Include the youngsters in the fun.

Easter baskets can be made by siblings for one another. This encourages kids to be  kind to one another while also teaching them about one other’s likes and dislikes.

Provide your children alternatives to candy before they fill their Easter baskets with chocolate and jelly beans. They can avoid a sugar high by receiving items for Easter baskets including toys, trinkets, and games.
