Connie Chiume named top 50 influential women

South African veteran actress Connie Chiume is making waves as she continues to raise the South African flag high. 

The actress was recently named by Forbes Africa as one of the top 50 over 50 Female Powerhouses and most influential women in Africa.

The veteran actress took to her social media platform to announce this incredible milestone. 

She captioned the post saying: 

“Top 50 most influential women by @forbesafrica. Ngi ya bonga,” she wrote on her Instagram post.

Many of her industry friends along with her fans took to her comment section to congratulate her. Here is what they had to say:

South African actress and media personality Minnie Dlamini said: “Indeed Ndlovukazi yethu.” 

South African actor Sello Maake kaNcube also congratulated the actress saying: “ You are the best,” he wrote.  

One fan wrote :“Woooo Justice Aluoch..Congrats to you too Connie Chiume..I love you in Gomora.”

Another user wrote: “You’re the best in everything you do mummy proud of you.” 

The Black Panther star also recently received the Anansi Award from MultiChoice Group and  Joburg Film Festival organisers for her contribution to creative storytelling.

The veteran actress took to her Instagram to share the good news with her followers. With excitement and full of gratitude she thanked the Joburg film festival along with Multichoice.

Capturing the post saying:

“Wow! Another one! I cannot even explain my gratitude South Africa. Huge Thank you to @joburg_film_festival and @multichoice_group for such a prestigious award,” she wrote.
