Top must see places to visit in South Africa

South Africa is one of the world’s most beautiful country, it has so much to offer to the world. From its exotic beaches to its wildlife experiences, to its historical features, history, landscapes and so much more.

Here are a few must see places in South Africa:

Cape Town

Cape Town, also known as the Mother City, is one of the world most beautiful city. Cape Town is overlooked by flat-topped Table Mountain, with its cable car, walking trails and abseiling.

Fill your days here visiting beaches and Cape Wineland wine estates, wandering the V&A Waterfront, catching the ferry to Robben Island and, above all, meeting the easy-going Cape locals.

In addition to its considerable natural charms, the city is benefiting from ongoing urban renewal, with world-class restaurants, hip food markets and design-savvy arcades opening in once-industrial neighbourhoods such as Woodstock and the Waterfront’s Silo District.

And if that was not enough, you could visit the world-class Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa, opened in 2017, showcases the world’s largest museum of contemporary African art.

Mapungubwe National Park

Another must see in South Africa is the Mapungubwe National Park in the Limpopo province. It forms part of the Greater Mapungubwe Transfrontier Conservation Area. Its important cultural heritage earned it Unesco World Heritage status as well, which is explained at its interpretive center. The landscape is riveting arid, ancient terrain that’s twisted and knotted, with rocky bluffs offering majestic views, and mighty rivers that intersect. The climate is harsh, but lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants and rhinos can be found here, as well as smaller species such as caracals. Getting your way around can be tough, but the rewards is worth it and worth seeing. The national park is divided into eastern and western sections, separated by private lands.

Kruger National Park

Kruger National Park is one of Africa’s great wilderness experiences and the mightiest of the country’s national parks – a trip here is magical as you get to experience the safaris lifestyle.

Its accessibility, quantity and variety of wildlife, and staggering size and range of activities make Kruger distinct and compelling. From wilderness trails and bush walks to mountain biking and remote 4WD trails, there are myriad opportunities to enjoy a safaris experience of a lifetime. Kruger is simply one of the best places to see animals – big and small – in the world.

iSimangaliso Wetland Park

iSimangaliso, which means “miracle” or “wonder” in Zulu, has a fitting name. This Unesco World Heritage site in KwaZulu-Natal incorporates 10 destinations, from the Mozambique border to Maphelane, at the southern end of Lake St Lucia. iSimangaliso Wetland Park protects five distinct ecosystems, offering everything from beaches, offshore reefs and coastal forests to lakes, wetlands and woodlands.

Travelers can enjoy wildlife drives, kayak safaris, cycling and cruises. The extraordinary animals here include loggerhead and leatherback turtles, whales, dolphins, antelope and zebras, but the showstoppers are the 800 hippos and 1200 Nile crocodiles, which are best spotted from aboard a tour on St Lucia Estuary.

SunCity

Sun City is a luxury resort and casino, situated in the Northwest Province of South Africa. It is located between the Elands River and the Pilanesberg, about 140 km northwest of Johannesburg, near the city of Rustenburg. The complex borders the Pilanesberg National Park. It is made up of a number of themed sub-resorts with hotels on each, including the original Sun City Resort, The Cabanas, The Cascades and the lost city.

Its definitely a must see as this resort offers loads of fun activities along with safaris ride experiences.
