Cape Town – Simphiwe “Simz” Ngema has once more jumped to the defence of fellow entertainer, Babes Wodumo, who is grieving the loss of her late husband, Mampintsha.

Mampintsha passed away on December 24 at the age of 40 after suffering a stroke.

Babes went viral after being recorded dancing at her husband’s funeral proceedings. The video of Babes dancing found its way to social media, causing Babes to receive plenty of backlash for it.

According to TshisaLIVE, Simz, who is also a widow, took to Instagram live to voice her thoughts on the matter.

“People will judge for anything you do, it doesn’t matter what it is. You should do what makes you happy and content. You should live your best life the way you want to live it,” she was quoted as saying.

“I remember three weeks after Dumi passed away I would post a lot about how I miss him … people would say; we are tired of hearing of Dumi. Three years later, Simz gets a man then people want to say it’s too soon.

“Let her dance if she wants to, let her dance. Even if she went on stage wearing bum shorts, she must dance. As people we are not the same … just because you want to faint at the cemetery, doesn’t mean everyone should also faint,” she reportedly added while on the live.

Briefly reported that Simz had said Babes and her late husband had agreed for her to mourn his death in the way that she did.
