As the saying goes, you can’t pour from an empty cup! Sometimes you can’t help it and you get carried away but do you ever stop to look at your own glass?

Studies have shown how important it is to take care of yourself and to put yourself first but now and again we forget.

According to Everyday power blog neglecting yourself is a recipe for disaster, taking care of yourself yields good results because it helps you be more efficient and productive. Some might even think taking time for yourself is being selfish or a luxury but pushing yourself to exhaustion won’t make you a better person but you will lead to a burnout.

Taking care of yourself sometimes doesn’t mean going out or putting pressure on others to take care of you but to take time for relaxation, reflection, reboot and spoiling yourself.

As the Minds journal stated, “in 2023, start to love yourself more.”

According to self-help Author Henrik Edberg, taking care of yourself, your body, health and mental wellbeing is important to not just feel better but also to perform better in the long run and to be able to help others better.

Starting this year on a clean slate to fill up your cup so you can help others better, find things that inspire you and make yourself happy. There are even events that have a similar topic if you feel lost and need understanding on how to better take care of yourself.
