Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix documentary draws closer according to Page Six, the official release date for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s forthcoming Netflix documentary has been revealed.

This documentary marks their first project with Netflix, and will focus on their love story which Meghan cites as “it’s the piece of her life that she hasn’t been able to share”.

While speaking to Variety, Meghan Markle said that “it’s so amazing to be around so much creative energy and to see how people work together and share their own points of view. That’s been really fun.”

“It’s nice to be able to trust someone with our story – a seasoned director Elizabeth Garbus whose work I’ve long admired – even if it means it may not be the way we would have told it. But that’s not why we’re telling it,” she told the publication.

The documentary is set to touch their relationship but will include bits from when they stepped down from their royal duties and more.

According to US Weekly news, the couple changed how King Charles III would be portrayed following the Queen’s death.

In September 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle signed a multi-million dollar deal with Netflix, shortly after stepping down as working members of the royal family. The partnership – in collaboration with the royal couple’s production company, Archewell Productions – is set to include documentaries, docuseries, feature films, scripted shows and children’s programming.

Many reports in November stated that the untitled docuseries would be released on Netflix in December 2022. However, the streaming platform reportedly delayed the release to 2023 following the backlash of The Crown season five, which Netflix received.
