Hit television show Insecure has been renewed for season 5 according to Variety. This comes on the heels of the 4th season which kicked off a few weeks ago.

Insecure follows Issa Dee, played by the show’s creator and executive produce Issa Rae, as she gets her life back on track after being homeless and unemployed for a few months. She is now the superintendent for an apartment complex and also planning a block party that celebrates and highlights black culture and businesses.
Speaking on the renewal in a statement executive vice president of HBO Programming Amy Gravitt said in part; “We’re thrilled that Issa, Prentice, and the whole Insecure team will be getting back together for a fifth season. As we laugh and cringe with recognition, their stories make us all feel a little less alone in the world.”
