Actor and comedian John Witherspoon has died at the age of 77. The star’s family announced the news on his social media. They shared in part: “It is with deep sadness we have to tweet this, but our husband & father John Witherspoon has passed away.”
John was popular for his roles on the movie Friday, the sitcom The Wayans Bros and voicing Gramps on the animated series The Boondocks.
His fans and colleagues have taken to social media to share their tributes.
