Our content producer Kwanele Mathebula tells us about her night’s stay at the newly-launched Regency Apartment Hotel.
The Regency Menlyn Apartment Hotel is in Pretoria, about an hour from Johannesburg depending on the traffic. As soon as I see it, I am impressed. The reception has glass doors that give a peek inside – it’s all granite and beautiful. The decor complements the reception with accents of green breathing fresh air into it. A staff member with a warm smile serves a cheese platter that is accompanied by the room card. Another member accompanies me to the room, filling me in about the area.

The luxury apartments
The hotel has 220 apartments! The apartment I stayed in was self-catering, and had everything you could ever need. Decorated with comfortable modern furniture, I felt as if I were home. It was on the top floor, giving me a wonderful view of the surrounding area.
Dining
The hotel’s restaurant is tucked away in a corner with a great view. Dinner and breakfast were simply delicious! The ever-so-gracious staff members were helpful. And, because they knew the menu well, their suggestions were just as amazing.

Overall experience
My stay at the Regency Menlyn Apartment Hotel was fantastic. And, because it is situated in the heart of Menlyn mall which is five minutes away, a shuttle is available to take you there and back. If like me, you’re into night life, there’s a party strip just five minutes away from the hotel. I would definitely return!
