Local actress and presenter, Nomzamo Mbatha, brought out the big guns in fashion and slayed at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.
Not only did she put her best foot forward in style, she also mingled with some of the biggest A-listers on the planet.
Nomzamo announced her arrival when she took a picture at the world-famous Hotel Martinez in Cannes where she was attending an event hosted by L’Oreal. At this stage of her career, being on the guestlist alongside international stars is nothing new to Ms Mbatha but her humility would have you thinking otherwise.

The local star hung out with Dame Helen Mirren, who has starred in some of the biggest blockbusters on the planet. Nomzamo could barely hide her excitement after bumping into the legendary actress:
“She literally kept saying the sweetest things to me the whole night! Dame Helen Mirren last night at the L’Oreal Paris shoot… I definitely fell deeper in love with her… what an ICON”
She also attended the Fashion4Relief gala dinner which was hosted by American supermodel Naomi Campbell, in a striking black dress.

Yesterday she wore a gorgeous pink ensemble with over sized sunglasses. She truly did fly the SA flag high by showing that our girls know how to slay everyday.
#Cannes2018, which needs no introduction as one of the biggest events of the annual film calendar, was trending as Hollywood’s biggest names used it as a platform for protest. The result was that we saw some of the most influential women in the world speaking out against gender inequity in the entertainment industry.
