Dawn Terms and Conditions

1. The Promoter is Unilever South Africa (Pty) Ltd (“the Promoter”).

2. The promotional competition is open to all South African residents 18 years and/or over and in possession of a valid identity document, except any director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Promoter, the marketing service providers or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by these entities, including their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.

3. This promotional competition is open from 21 April 2015 and ends at 12pm (midnight) on 30 October 2015. Any entries received after the closing date will not be considered.

4. To enter, participants will be required to:

4.1 Purchase any Dawn product;

4.2 Dial *120*7357# and follow the prompts; (USSD Cost 20 cents per 20 second session); and

4.3 Follow the prompts and answer a few simple questions by selecting the correct key.

5. Participants may enter as many times as they wish provided that each entry is associated with a separate purchase and unique barcode. Entrants are required to keep their till slip as proof of purchase.

PRIZES

7. Participants stand a chance to win 1 of 6 monthly R100 000 customised (see section 7.4.) prize packages that aim to improve the Winner’s life in the areas of health and wellness, skills and career development, and beauty and wardrobe. Each R100 000 prize package will include a tailored variation of:

7.1. Health and Wellness
7.1.1. 3 Consultations with a dietician including an initial assessment, personalised eating plan and follow up consultation to assess progress maintain motivation and set long term goals.
7.1.1. Depending on the budget and the health status of the individual Winner, the package could also include a 1 year gym membership, personal trainer sessions, massages, or other relevant services or treatments.

7.2. Skills and Career Development
Skills and career development will include a Life Coach and Bursary component.
7.2.1.Each of the above components will be sourced based on the Winner’s residential location and personal circumstances.
7.2.2.Life Coaching will be in the form of a 12-week course.
7.2.3.The bursary will be at the Winner’s preferred tertiary institution (technikon, university or any other legitimate tertiary education organisation) provided that the tuition fees at the preferred institution fall within the R100 000 total prize budget and the geographical location of the Winner.
7.2.4. Business Skills for Personal Branding will be provided (this will be in the form of a mentor if the Winner is currently working or, if the Winner is still studying, a career guidance assessment).
7.2.5. Career development will be in the form of a career coach who will be sourced based on the Winner’s field of study, interest or current career category.

7.3. Beauty and Wardrobe
This will include a 2-day mega-makeover:
7.3.1. A 3-hour consultation, 3-hour shopping appointment, makeover and photographic shoot.
7.3.2. Edgars vouchers to be used for a new wardrobe to be purchased during the Winner’s personal shopping appointment.

7.4. The prize package will be customised for each Winner:
7.4.1. Each package will be tailored to the specific Winner (according to their current age, lifestyle, personal circumstances, etc.) and may not include all of the above mentioned items.
7.4.2. In order to determine a prize package best suited to the individual Winner, each Winner will be interviewed to establish their current life commitments, stages, dreams and geographical location, etc.
7.4.3. Should the Winner be based outside of a major city, and if necessary to the fulfilment of the prize package, flights and accommodation (to major cities only) may be included for the Winner. This will be based on a case by case basis, at the Promoter’s discretion and is not guaranteed. In addition, any costs incurred on such additional inclusions will be deducted from the total R100 000 prize money.

7.5. The prize package terms:
7.5.1. The customised items provided as part of the prize package will be at the promoter’s discretion and only suppliers that the promoter has chosen will be used.
7.5.2. Should the package come to more than the R100 000 budgeted, items will be removed, shortened or customised in order for the package to come within the budget. The budget will not be exceeded.
7.5.3. Only legitimate tertiary education institutions will be considered that accept EFT’s and are Vat registered.
7.5.4. No monetary amounts will be paid into the winner’s account, nor can any of the package items supplied be sold or transferred.
7.5.5 Prizes are only available to winners and are not exchangeable or negotiable.
7.5.6 Any additional cost outside the prize package will be for the winner’s own account.

8. Participants stand a chance to win a share of R50 000 worth of pinless airtime broken up as follows:

  • 12500 winners will get R2 instant airtime
  • 5000 winners will each get R3 instant airtime
  • 2000 winners will each get R5 instant airtime
  • Total number of airtime winners: 19 500

8.2 Pinless Airtime for top up and pre paid subscribers only.
8.3 A participant can only win airtime once over the promotional period.

WINNER SELECTION PROCESS

Airtime Winners

9.1. Winners will randomly be selected to receive airtime.

Life Style Prize Winners
9.1. The draw will be based on a selection process whereby finalists will first be drawn. Each of the finalists will be contacted and provided with questions and based on their answers the final winners will be chosen. Each draw will therefore include 5 finalists from which 1 final winner will be chosen (per month) as per a set screening process.
9.2. Finalists will be required to provide their original till slip for their purchase dated before or on their entry date as proof of purchase for the qualifying Dawn product upon receiving a phone call to announce that they are a finalist. Should the finalist not be able to provide a copy of the slip to the Promoter on request, they will be disqualified.
9.3. The finalists for the 6 grand prizes will be randomly selected after the 1st day of each month from the entries received the month before with the first selected finalists being contacted after 31 May 2015 and the others being drawn after 1 November 2015.
9.4. The selected finalists will be notified telephonically and will be required to verify their details and complete a few short questions.
9.5. The answers will then be screened and the final winner chosen.
9.6. The Promoter will contact the Winner to make the necessary arrangements for prize redemption.
9.7. The Promoter (or their agent) will endeavour to contact the selected finalist/Winner once every
day for 5 consecutive working days after their name is drawn. If the selected finalist/Winner cannot be contacted during this period the Promoter reserves the right to select another finalist/Winner in accordance with the rules.
9.8. Specifications relating to the prizes are not negotiable. This includes all aspects included as part of the grand prize.
9.9. The prize package excludes insurance. The Winners will be responsible for arranging and paying any insurance costs relating to the grand prize.
9.10. Repeat winners are not allowed for this competition and after the winner is drawn, the number and winner will not be eligible for further prizes in this competition.

GENERAL
10. Any prize not taken up for any reason within two months of notification will be forfeited.

11.  All Winners will be required to provide their names, ID numbers and contact details and to sign an acknowledgement of receipt of the prize.

12. A copy of these rules can be found on 0860-151-141 throughout the period of the competition.

13. The Promoter shall not be responsible for any lost, damaged, delayed, electronically corrupt incorrect or incomplete entries for any reason whatsoever. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

14. The Promoter shall not be responsible for the failure of any technical element relating to this promotion that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted.

15. Responsibility is not accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of any network, computer or cell phone hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be ac- cepted as proof of receipt.

16. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any claim if fraud or cheating is suspected, including without limitation, through the manipulation of code or otherwise frequently falsifying data.

17. No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.

18. NOTE: Any attempt to use multiple accounts or other tactics to enter more than the stated limit may result in disqualification and all associated entries will be void. Entries generated by script, macro, bot, commercial contest subscription, incentives or other means not sponsored by the Promoter, entering service sites or any other automated means and entries by any means that subvert the entry process or do not conform to the terms or spirit of these competition rules, will void the entry and may disqualify the entrant.

19. The Promoter reserves the right to use the images taken of the Winner for publicity purposes in any manner they deem fit, without remuneration being made payable to the Winner. However, the Winner has the right to object to these images being used by written notification to the Promoter at 15 Nollsworth Crescent, Nollsworth Park, La Lucia, 4051 Att : Legal Department.

20. The Promoter shall have the right to change or terminate the promotional competition immediately and without notice, if deemed necessary in its opinion and if circumstances arise outside of their control. In the event of such change or termination, all participants agree to waive any rights that they have in respect of this promotional competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter or its agents.

21. In the event that the prize is not available despite the Promoter’s reasonable endeavours to procure the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value.

22. Neither the Promoter, its agents, its associated companies, nor any directors, officers or employees of such, shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by a participant or the Winner.

23. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

24. Participation in the promotional competition constitutes acceptance of the promotional competition rules and participants agree to abide by the rules.

25. The winner will accept the prize as is, at their own risk.
