An MK Party Member of Parliament, David Skosana, has reportedly been suspended without pay following an internal disagreement within the party, raising fresh questions about discipline and internal cohesion in the organisation.
While the party has not publicly disclosed the full details surrounding the decision, sources indicate that the suspension stems from a disagreement over internal party matters.

David Skosana sanctioned
The disciplinary action means that Skosana will remain suspended without remuneration while the matter is being addressed through the party’s internal processes.
Skosana was suspended alongside National Coloured Congress (NCC) leader Fadiel Adams.
According to IOL, a statement read: “Parliament said it had implemented sanctions against two members of the National Assembly after the House adopted reports by the Joint Committee on Ethics and Members’ Interests, which found that they had contravened Parliament’s Code of Ethical Conduct and Disclosure of Members’ Interests.”
Parliament also said that, on 11 June 11 2026, the National Assembly approved the committee’s recommendations, including the suspension of Adams and Skosana from parliamentary debates and committee proceedings.
It is alleged that Skosana contravened the code in two separate matters.

The above-mentioned publication adds that in the first, the committee found that Skosana had failed to properly disclose a directorship in UVO Communications in the public section of the Register of Members’ Interests, despite the company being identified in Auditor-General audit findings as a service provider.
When this was found, Skosana was reprimanded in the House and fined R15,000.
“In the second matter, the committee found that Skosana had verbally intimidated a Newzroom Afrika journalist following an interview conducted in Parliament.”
It is said that both Skosana and Adams will serve their suspensions, with Adams’ suspension starting from 3 August to 28 August 2026, while Skosana will serve his suspension from 3 August to 21 August, 2026.
