A curious TikToker uncovered a big secret when she opened her kitchen cupboard and found her mother’s hidden money stash.

TikTok user @mivumemani posted a video showing her finding her mother’s cash hidden in the kitchen. In the video, she opened a Frozen container, typically used to store butter and found money inside.

It can be seen that the creator followed a popular TikTok trend titled, “You know black people,” which is aimed at highlighting certain cultural behaviours humorously. Many internet users found the video relatable, as in some black households, old lunchboxes or containers are used to stash various items.

The practice of using old lunchboxes or containers to stash various items in black households holds cultural significance as it reflects resourcefulness, economising, and the importance of preserving family heritage. These items often carry sentimental value and serve as a reminder of the past, connecting generations and promoting a sense of identity and tradition.

Mivu posted the video which gained the massive popularity of many TikTok users with the caption, “I collapsed for real.”

Many TikTok users took to the comment section to unveil where their parents hide things within their households.

One user said that they were expecting snacks instead of money in the lunchbox.

Another user stated that her mother hides her money in her room.

One TikTok user stated that the mother understood the assignment of hiding something in plain sight.
