The controversy erupted after social media footage captured the businessman allegedly threatening women and boasting during a public argument, prompting swift public investigation into his business interests in South Africa.
Intelligence and public disclosures quickly linked him to Moriel Infrastructure Group, a firm that secured major state development projects, including a massive R107.5 million SANRAL contract awarded in 2024.
Following the widespread public outcry and a formal intimidation case opened with the South African Police Service (SAPS), Moriel Infrastructure Group removed the businessman as a company director.
