Her traditional umleqwa and inyama yegusha brought true African soul to the table. At the same time, her fellow diners explored everything from Mozambican prawns to Mexican enchiladas.
Paella from the floor! – Season 3 ep 12
The Cape Town finale was gourmet chaos at its finest. Between Tony Onwood’s Saigon salmon surprise and Noel Studti’s paella-gone-wrong. . The episodes food was bold, the personalities bolder having viewers howling and hosts rethinking their seasoning choices.
All kinds of flavour – Season 4 ep 3
Durban brought the flavour and the flames. The night was culinary fireworks, from Rourke McArthur’s basil-brie creations to Sanesh Bhengu’s spicy peri-peri feast. But the real drama was an awkward dessert interrogation that left the table wondering, “What kind of caramels are there?”
Who put a worm in my starter? – Season 2 ep6
In one of the most infamous moments in the show’s history, a worm mysteriously turned up in Martin Evans’ starter — and fingers pointed fast. Whether sabotage or seafood surprise, it was peak Come Dine With Me South Africa drama that had everyone talking.
