Wig maintenance requires constantly learning ways to maintain your hair, and although the tools and products needed to maintain your hair can be quite expensive. There are cheaper ways of making your own lace tint.

What is a lace tint, and why it is important?

Well, a lace tint is a type of spray you would use to make your wig look as natural as possible, and given that most people like it customised, lace tints provide your hair with that seamless look.

According to The Wig Gurus Professional, a beauty hub, lace tint spray is essential for wigs as it is designed to add colour to the lace base at the top of the wig. This helps it blend in with your natural skin tone and creates a more natural-looking hairline. This can be especially important if you’re self-conscious about hair loss or if you want to cover up thinning hair.

Although you may find that adding your foundation to your lace works better it tends to be messy in the long run as the foundation stains.

TikTok creator @n_lwethu posted a video where she made her lace tint. In the video, the creator puts a few drops of her foundation her a spray bottle and an ISOPLUS melting spray shakes well creating a lace tint.

Many TikTok users took the comment section to thank the creator for this new plug as although you can buy a lace tint spray at your local stores creating your own saves you more money.

One user commented: “I’ve been looking for videos on how to tint my lace without breaking the bank.”

Another user said: “Not all heroes wear capes.”
