If you have been dreaming of hair that’s full, bouncy, and radiant without an endless lineup of pricey products, then you’d be happy to know that transforming your hair at home is easier than you think. In fact, some of the best volume-boosting, shine-enhancing tricks are probably already in your kitchen.

From DIY scalp massages to nutrient-packed hair masks, you can breathe life into dull, flat hair with simple, effective hacks. The HealthShots publication states that aloe vera gel is a soothing and hydrating remedy that improves hair shine, promotes hair growth, and increases hair volume. It is believed to contain enzymes that promote hair growth and prevent hair loss.

The above source also mentions that coconut oil is a natural conditioner that penetrates hair shafts, providing moisture, nourishment, and thickness. “It also contains the vital proteins needed to nourish and repair damaged hair, as found in a study published in the International Journal of Life Sciences Research.”

According to Soul Tree, one needs to avoid chemical-laden hair care products, as they can cause hair loss and damage. It is suggested that you eat well, including green leafy vegetables, nuts, pulses, and fruits for iron, protein, vitamins, and minerals. “You can also boost hair growth with the help of some easy-to-make hair masks (for Frizzy hair, for Oily hair, for Dry hair) using simple ingredients such as Honey, Coconut Oil, Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Yogurt, etc.”

Caffeine, a key component of coffee, has been shown to promote hair growth and elongation by prolonging the anagen phase, claims StyleCraze. Consuming coffee daily is believed to help reduce balding and hair thinning. “Garlic has been shown to promote hair growth in rat studies. It also possesses anti-inflammatory properties that may help fight scalp infections and promote scalp healing. Using garlic for hair growth could be a natural and cost-effective remedy for hair loss. Some believe it also may help increase hair count.”

The above source further mentions that to boost hair growth, massage the scalp and use natural remedies and that a balanced diet with nutrient-rich foods can provide the body with the necessary tools for healthy hair growth.
