The 4th Annual Fashion Industry Awards South Africa (FIASA) recently took place, celebrating fashion icons who have demonstrated exceptional creativity and innovation, making a significant impact on the South African fashion industry.

With the award ceremony held in Johannesburg’s Garden Venue Arena, many A-list celebrities gathered where they donned their fashion looks.

According to Fashion for Africa, this year’s theme, “Fashion Diversity Rooted in Mzansi,” celebrated the diverse talent in South Africa’s fashion industry, from trailblazing pioneers to rising designers, emphasising invention, artistry, and cultural importance.

Hosted by renowned broadcaster Penny Lebyane, the FIASA Awards 2024 recognised excellence in 21 categories, such as retail innovation, sustainability, design, and cultural storytelling.

Top models, celebrities, designers, and influencers were also present at the event, which demonstrated how South Africa’s fashion ecosystem can bridge the gap between innovation and cultural identity. It included a fashion display exhibiting the outstanding work of local designers as well as networking possibilities.

Here are the looks at the 2024 FIASA:
