One thing about the TikTok girlies is that they will influence you into making a lot of good, sometimes bad decisions when it comes to your skincare routine.

Skincare products are advertised daily on social media but one thing they never told you about is Korean skincare products.

According to the skincare hub, Secret Skin, Korean beauty products moisturise, brighten, and nourish the skin. They contain hyaluronic acid and ceramides to deeply moisturise and prevent wrinkles. Niacinamide and vitamin C are said to help lighten dark spots, balance skin tone, and reduce acne scars. Natural ingredients like green tea, rice extract, and snail mucin improve overall skin health.

Soko Glam co-founder, Charlotte Cho told Cosmopolitan, “K-beauty is more than just a trend. It’s a skincare philosophy and way of life,” adding, “It’s more than just steps or sheet masks, it’s how you think about skincare and what works best for your unique skin needs.”

Here are 5 must-have Korean skincare products you won’t be able to live without:

  1. Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Lotion: Hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, and contains ceramides for a healthy skin barrier. Skin-smoothing panthenol, vitamin B5, moisturizes and heals wounds. Useful for bug bites, eczema, sunburn, and itchy skin.
  2. AESTURA A-CICA 365 Calming Cream: Skin-smoothing panthenol, vitamin B5, has wound-healing properties and is anti-inflammatory. Effective for itchy and dry skin.
  3. Peach & Lily Glass Skin Refining Serum: Achieve smooth and luminous skin with this product, which provides hydration. Perfect for those who desire a glass-like appearance.
  4. COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid: Chemical exfoliant to fight blackheads and control oil.
  5. Thank You Farmer Sun Project Light Sun Essence: Broad-spectrum sunscreen that provides a semi-matte appearance to maintain skin well-being and offer protection.
