WATCH: Woman kneels, speaks in tongues during marriage proposal – internet reacts

A marriage proposal caught on camera is setting social media alight after a woman was filmed kneeling and speaking in tongues in what appeared to be a church service.

The video, now circulating on various social media platforms, displays an emotional woman on her knees. She is speaking in tongues while a man places a ring on her finger.

The clip has since ignited a heated debate. Some internet users praised the raw display of faith and vulnerability, calling it ‘powerful’ and ‘Spirit-led’.

One X user wrote: “When God says yes, you speak in tongues. This is beautiful.”

However, others questioned the authenticity, with critics labeling it as a performative act for the cameras.

“Why is the cameraman so ready? Be for real,”another comment read.

The proposal taps into a bigger conversation about marriage and how it is perceived by men and women, as well as emotional expression in church and the rise of viral religious moments online.
