Showmax’s local series Adulting sparks a lot of conversation on social media platforms each time their sex scenes are aired.
The series, in its second season, is centered around the lives of four university friends, now adults and in different fields, the friends have still managed to keep their bond, despite the directions their lives have taken.
Some of the cast members include industry giants such as Thembi Seete, Luthando BU Mthembu, Samke Ndlovu, Londeka Shishi, and others.
While visiting MacGyver Mukwevho on the Podcast and Chill, actress and singer Samke Ndlovu detailed how the sex scenes are shot. She shared that the actors’ private parts do not touch each other as objects are placed between them when shooting sex scenes.
“There’s also a deflated miniature Pilates ball between us. Do you know that big ball that you gym with, there’s a miniature one that’s deflated and placed here (pointing at her private part). If someone gets an erection, bekafuna (he wanted to), coz uzweni (what is it that you felt)?”
She continued:
“Your thing is strapped; I’m wearing a thong with a thick sponge on it so that our things don’t ever meet. There’s a ball between us, and there’s a lady in the room who, as soon as the director goes calls ‘cut’ who runs to us with gowns.”
