Uncle Waffles’ “Tanzania” sampled at Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour

Uncle Waffles’ music has now been recognised by Queen Bey after her hit Tanzania was used on the first night of Beyoncé’s much-awaited Renaissance Tour.

The tour kickstarted in Stockholm, Sweden on 10 May. The music mogul is set to tour other European cities, as well as cities in North America.

The Lemonade musician is reported to make as much as $2 billion (a whopping R37 807 740 000) from this world tour.

Although Beyoncé did not include African cities on the list of cities to tour, she did, however, bring South Africa to her concert. Uncle Waffles’ Tanzania could be heard mixed with Kendrick Lamar’s Alright safely to say that the crowd was enjoying it!

Another Twitter user provided a better clip of the exhilarating moment.

Upon seeing the clip, Uncle Waffles commented, “I’m crying wow.”

Some tweeps were struggling to hear Tanzania being played. One tweep wrote, “I’m still trying to hear Tanzania in that video, maybe I’m the problem…”

A helpful tweep responded to the tweet by providing a different video.

Of course, many tweeps commented on Uncle Waffles’ achievement.

“Beyoncé, the celebrity of celebrities giving props to Uncle Waffles, I know she is attending the next Roc Nation Brunch …. She is the biggest thing in Mzansi right now,” said a Twitter user known as The Instigator.

“I need Uncle Waffles to send me her prayer template right now,” said another tweep.

The DJ also retweeted DBN GOGO’s tweet referring to the sample.
