One of the country’s biggest horse racing events is around the corner, and you will now have the opportunity to attend.
As always, the annual Hollywoodbets Durban July festival is one of the biggest events on the South African entertainment calendar. It is here where some of the country’s biggest investors, fashion designers, and celebrities gather to enjoy a day of fun entertainment and networking while placing their money on the horse they believe has what it takes to come out supreme.
While the sports grounds are often saturated with high-profile figures, locals also have the opportunity to rub shoulders with some of their favourite personalities and get in on the action.
This year’s theme? – Marvels of Mzansi.
In a statement, the organisers of the event revealed that the theme looks to celebrate South Africa’s rich heritage, cultural diversity, and breathtaking landscapes while paying tribute to the nation’s extraordinary achievements.
“Our pride in Mzansi’s heritage and culture extends beyond sporting excellence—it’s also reflected in the innovation, tenacity, and resilience of its people. The HDJ is more than just a major event that attracts visitors from across South Africa to KwaZulu-Natal; it provides a platform for participants to showcase their skills and talents to a highly engaged audience,” explains Stephen Marshall, Gold Circle’s Events and Marketing Executive.
The event is set to take place at Greyville Racetrack.
