It was a night to remember for Seth Rogen and Apple TV+ as The Studio took centre stage at the 2025 Emmy Awards, racking up an astonishing 13 wins more than any comedy series in Emmy history. The record-breaking streak beat The Bear’s 10-win haul from 2023 and cemented the show’s status as a cultural powerhouse.
“It’s incredible to see how far we’ve come,” Rogen said after scooping the Lead Comedy Actor award and co-directing The Oner with Evan Goldberg. His wins put him alongside Emmy legends like Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Levy for most individual Emmy wins in a single night.
The show’s debut season had already impressed with nine Creative Arts wins, including awards for cinematography, casting, sound, music supervision, and guest actor Bryan Cranston. “Honestly, when I started drama classes a couple years back, I never imagined I’d be here tonight,” Cooper said. “This proves that if you step out of your comfort zone, you can achieve anything.”
Meanwhile, The Pitt was named Best Drama Series, with Noah Wyle winning Best Actor and co-star Katherine LaNasa securing Best Supporting Actress. Tramell Tillman made Emmy history as the first Black actor to win Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, while Severance’s Britt Lower took home Best Actress.
Variety and Late-Night Legends
Variety programming saw its own milestones. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert won Best Talk Series, while SNL50: The Anniversary Special took Best Variety Special (Live). Showrunner Lorne Michaels reflected on 50 years of dedication:
