‘The Carol Ofori Podcast’ has captured audiences with its engaging content, insightful interviews, and thought-provoking discussions since its inception in 2023. The podcast features a dynamic mix of seasoned professionals and ordinary people with extraordinary stories.

Since its debut, Carol Ofori has welcomed notable guests such as celebrity couple Tol A$$ Mo and his wife MoMe, the founders of the EskomSePush app, slain rapper AKA’s parents Lynn and Tony Forbes, Legends Barbershop founder Sheldon Tatchell, and the iconic Olympian Caster Semenya. The podcast delves into diverse topics, including the earnings of car guards, the 2024 elections, gun violence in South Africa, and the potential health risks of hair relaxers.

The nomination places ‘The Carol Ofori Podcast’ among other esteemed podcasts across Africa, such as ‘African Couch Potato’, ‘My Bukka Adventure’, ‘Bioscope Brass’, ‘In My Voice Podcast’, and ‘The Spectrum Podcast’.

Naturally, Carol Ofori is thrilled that all of the hard work she has poured into the podcast is being recognised. “Being nominated for an APVA is an incredible honour,” she says. “This nomination is a testament to the hard work and dedication we put into creating content that resonates with our listeners. It’s a celebration of all the amazing stories and insights shared by our guests. I’m thrilled to be part of this journey and grateful for the support of our listeners.”

The APVA Awards, Africa’s premier audio awards event, is dedicated to recognising outstanding talent across the continent. The awards highlight and celebrate the achievements of African voice talents while providing a platform for education, motivation, and mentorship.

The 2024 APVA Awards will take place on the 27th and 28th of September 2024, promising to be a grand celebration of audio excellence.
