Springbok victory inspires KFC to launch ‘Elizabedi Bundle’ meal

by Sergio Miller

The popular fast-food restaurant, KFC , is on a quest to keep the spirit of the Rugby World Cup alive.

The franchise popularly known for its mouth-watering fried chicken and excellent desserts has recently added something new to their menu list – the “Elizabedi bundle.”

The meal was inspired by a video that circulated on social media ahead of the Springboks’ victory parade in Durban.

In the video one of the players, Eben Etzebeth (who requested a KFC Uber Eats delivery), can be seen reaching out to the delivery guy to pass on his KFC meal ahead of the bus.

The video has been viewed by more than 11,000 people so far, including KFC.

In honour of the 32-year-old, they have introduced a meal that includes a Krusher, a colonel burger, and chips. Staying true to the number 4, the price is R44.44 exclusive to Uber Eats customers.

Eben’s impact in this World Cup has been impressive.

He earned his new name following the try that he scored against the hosts, France, in the semi-finals.

Later a video of an ecstatic fan video went viral following Eben’s try. The boy who was beyond himself ran towards the TV screen and started screaming “Elizabedi!”

When Springboks are looking for this young man.. ?❤️????? and they found him ??????❤️? sweet ????
