Despite his stardom as the Springbok rugby captain, Siya Kolisi, was able to live a dream when he met Liverpool captain, Virgil Van Dijk, after their Champions League game.

Siya and Ox Nche were at Anfield for Liverpool’s game against Lille in the Champions League last week. Siya’s love for Liverpool is well-known as he has regularly attended games and has had many interactions with former Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp.

Following the game, Siya and Ox were lucky enough to be on the pitch after the game to meet Liverpool’s captain, Virgil Van Dijk. Both players took a picture with Van Dijk as Siya was presented with a Liverpool shirt. He also shared pictures and videos of the game day, including the box seats that he and Ox were seated in.

“My bro and our captain, thank you so much for making our visit to Anfield special and unforgettable. Honestly inspired by your leadership on and off the pitch. You are a remarkable ambassador for Liverpool and for the sport as a whole. Congratulations on your 300th cap – and here’s to many more! Ox Nche ngqawa yam living his best life,” he wrote on Instagram.
