Record producer and podcaster Oscar Mbongeni Ndlovu, commonly known as Oscar Mbo has made a name for himself in the music industry by producing multiple hits. He has proven to be the jack of all trades as he has now ventured into the fashion industry with his ‘Have a Groovy day’ clothing brand.
The announcement of his collaboration with clothing brand ‘WE ARE GODS’ came through an Instagram post where he alerted his audience about the possibility of pre-ordering any merchandise from the collaboration. “Yo! It’s a Groovy Day! Finally proud to announce my collaboration with @wearegodsonline for my Have a Groovy Day merchandise, the link for pre-order is available on my bio. We’re LIVE!”.

In an interview with TshisaLive, the DJ described his clothing brand as streetwear inspired by the Asian fashion aesthetic introduced in 2021, which is oversized and “swaggy”.
“I have always had a passion for clothes but I wanted to equip myself before I entered the fashion industry, hence my entry is with my line of merch as I grow more into design. I’m giving myself time to grow over the years and am hoping to have a full line soon,” says the hitmaker.
He also detailed the challenges he faced with finding the right partner for his entry into fashion, as well as figuring out how to correctly price the items. “Sourcing the right quality material for the line was the biggest challenge. It took years to perfect the mission. We have developed relationships with international suppliers. The brand can be purchased from our online store.” he tells TshisaLive.
Oscar has managed to sway the public’s eye his way with his fashion and style, managing to scoop up the award for ‘best styled’ at this year’s Metro FM Music Awards, as voted by you, the public. The artist shared this moment on his Instagram with the caption “Best styled, period. thank you for the votes & the love Groovists.”
