Nota Baloyi stirs controversy with his provocative opinion on AKA’s case

It seems like the brief stint of music executive, Nhlamulo Nota Baloyi behind bars will not stop him from speaking his mind.

This is after he was arrested for an alleged defamation of character civil suit involving rapper Ntokozo Mdluli, popularly known as K.O. The commotion is said to have ensued in 2023, when K.O. who was one of the slain rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes’ friend, set his lawyers on Nota alleging that he made damaging statements about him following AKA’s death.

Nota cited on social media platforms that K.O. failed to protect AKA and implicated K.O.’s brother, Siya Mdluli in the late rapper’s death.

Recently, Nota made another vicious statement on his X (formerly Twitter) where he said K.O.’s brother was sloppy and he knows that he cannot sleep at night. He also mentioned that Saso is throwing house parties and booking DJ Zinhle, but he was seen leading Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes out to be shot, even though it did not go according to plan. In the end, he said, “I can’t go to jail again. Ayeye.”

KO’s baby brother was really sloppy… I know he can’t sleep at night, Don Design isn’t getting any rest either. Saso is throwing house parties booking Zinhle but we saw him leading Kiernan out to be shot even though it didn’t go according to plan. I can’t go to jail again. Ayeye! https://t.co/Nqe5lKz8zG

When asked in the comment section by an X user: “Didn’t you go to prison for these kinds of tweets?” His response was: “You can’t be punished for the same offence twice.”
