Nirvana Nokwe’s manager addresses allegations
On 20 May 2026, Michael, the Chief Executive Officer of the entertainment production company INYANI, posted on Nirvana’s Instagram to share his response. The post included a screen recording of the email chain among him, Nirvana, and representatives (Angus Gibson and Desiree Markgraaff) of the production company The Bomb Shelter, also known as Bomb Productions.
Michael claimed that he had “intimate knowledge” of what transpired after the incident, adding, “As her managers, we had thoroughly evaluated all evidentiary material made available to us, including at least one text message to Ms Nokwe-Mseleku from personnel with authority who was present at the shoot. The text message confirmed that Ms Nokwe-Mseleku was subjected to inappropriate behaviour on the set.”

He also claimed that there was a campaign to silence Nirvana, who now wants to quit acting, and recalled a Zoom meeting where the actress was warned about the derailment of her career if she pursued the matter.
Saluting Nirvana for her courage to speak out, Michael concluded, “She is a trailblazer for all women, both in South Africa and globally. As the father of a daughter, I greatly appreciate the fight she is taking up for all women and girls, both in South Africa and abroad.”
